We want to book a guaranteed verandah room on the same cruise as our friends who have already booked a deluxe verandah room. Will we be able to request to eat dinner with them? Does that lower rate exclude us from anything on the ship? Thank you.

Ahoy, Lauren - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by to ask your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Disney Cruise Line memories!

I'm excited to hEAR that you're planning to join some friends on a magical Disney Cruise Line sailing! I know how it goes ... you find out about their plans and it sounds so great you just have to join in! It sounds like your friends have already booked a specific room. You booking a Guaranteed Stateroom is a fantastic way to lock in a great price and be guaranteed the level of Stateroom you want - in your case, a Verandah Stateroom.

First, let me say that there is nothing you are excluded from by selecting and booking with this rate, other than not having the ability to choose your specific Stateroom on the ship. For example, if you wanted to guarantee that your Verandah Stateroom was located next to or nearby your friends', you would not be able to do that and would instead want to book a Stateroom Category which allows you to select your specific Stateroom. Other than that, you'll enjoy all of the amazing amenities that all other Guests on board have available (with the exception of those Guests in Concierge level Staterooms who do have additional amenities).

In either case, you can absolutely request to sit with your friends at dinner! You will simply need to link your reservations together once you make your plans, and to do so, you will also need their Confirmation Number, the last name on their reservation, and the date of birth for any Guest listed on their reservation. Sign in to view My Reservations, locate your reservation number, and select the drop-down arrow - you should see an option to Add Reservation. Follow the prompts and you should be all set! You can also accomplish this through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App by tapping More (≡) in the bottom right corner and then tapping Add Reservation.

I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your upcoming voyage - please let us know if we can help answer any additional questions!
