Ahoy there, Ramon. Thanks for taking the time to sail by planDisney with your question for us. Welcome!
I bet you’re getting excited about your upcoming Disney cruise. I think it’s a great idea you’re planning on staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel the night before your cruise, especially if you’re traveling from California. Due to the time difference (I live in California as well), coupled with the 5+ hour flight time, our arrival to Florida is always too late for same day embarkation.
By staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and then catching ground transportation to Port Canaveral, it is a seamless, stress-free way to start your Disney cruise vacation. I like the convenience of being able to leave our checked luggage in our hotel room when we board the Disney shuttle; these bags will then be transported to the ship and magically appear outside the stateroom door by the evening of embarkation day.
If you’re interested in adding a pre-cruise hotel and ground transportation, you can give Disney Cruise Line a
call at (800) 951-3532 and a friendly Cast Member will gladly assist you. It doesn’t matter if you did not book your sailing directly through the Disney Cruise Line website. However, if you used an authorized travel agent to help with booking your cruise, he or she can also help you book your pre-cruise hotel and ground transportation as well. Once your ground transportation is reserved, this information will show up on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or on the
Disney Cruise Line website once you’ve logged into your account and click on “Already Booked”.
Ramon, if you have more trip-planning questions as you get ready for your sailing, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again.
Hope to SEA ya real soon,
Kiki
