Hello, Jill,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. How "practically perfect" that you are starting to plan a Walt Disney World trip for later this spring.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the flagship resort that provides guests easy access to the Magic Kingdom by monorail or water taxi, and you can even walk to the park, too! It evokes a lovely feeling of luxury with its grand lobby and gardens, yet I don't ever think it feels stuffy. As a guest of this resort, you will be able to take advantage of
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. When we visited this event last spring at the Magic Kingdom, the crowds were so light. It was incredible to get to experience so many attractions with little to no waits!
To book your vacation, you want to visit
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa page. Once there, look to the right side of the page for a blue square and click on
View Room Rates. Once there, look again for a long blue bar and select the dates you'd like to visit and the number of guests in your party. If there is availability, the search should provide you with different room options and any available special offers. Once you select the room you'd like, you can then choose the theme park tickets you'd like. Finally, your offer will be in your shopping cart and you can add some final pieces like
Memory Maker (all of your Disney Photopass photos!) and/or travel protection. Then just click on the green button to
Check Out.Once you've booked your trip, you can begin thinking about
Disney Dining. You'll be able to make
10 days worth of reservations when you are 60 days out from your arrival. Along with all of the attractions you'll be able to enjoy, did you know there is an
Enchanting Extras Collection if you'd like to add something extra special to your trip? For my family, we have annual miniature golf challenges at
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf where I typically come in last every single time, but it is so much fun I never mind!
As you continue to plan your trip, please let us know how we can help. Wishing you a magical visit to Walt Disney World!
