I want to book grand California hotel Jan 3 through Jan 6

Hi there, Kathryn! Welcome to planDisney where we love helping Guests plan their magical vacations to the Happiest Place on Earth. It's great that you are already looking ahead to 2023. I know you must be eager to get those Disneyland Resort plans on the books, so let's take a look at your question!

As you've probably discovered, hotel reservations and Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages are only available through the end of 2022. I'm eagerly waiting for those early 2023 dates to open up as well, so I can book a little winter escape for my family to sunny California! We all need a little magic that time of year! While we do not have an exact date, typically we see rates and packages become available sometime between late summer through early September. My best piece of advice here is to keep your ears (and eyes) peeled on the Disney Parks Blog and also the @DISNEYLAND Instagram account as that's where news usually breaks first!

You are going to LOVE visiting just after the holidays. Those merry crowds will start to head home, but the holly jolly of the season lingers into that first week of January. It makes for a very happy holiday send-off! You'll likely get to set sail through "it's a small world" Holiday or get to send off Jack Skellington and his Nightmare Before Christmas crew before they head home from their residency in Haunted Mansion Holiday! Over at Disney California Adventure Park, there's a joyous celebration of holidays from around the world at Disney Festival of the Holidays! Be sure to go hungry and pick up a Sip and Savor pass to taste seasonal specialties from around the globe! I love to reserve a full day to just relax, slow down, and take in all the festival has to offer, especially the entertainment celebrating Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings' Day!

While there is always so much to do at the Disneyland Resort, it's in these quieter moments that I often find the most magic. It's so easy to be on the go-go-go (and there are days that call for this!), but I also love truly getting to enjoy the slower moments to let the pixie dust settle in around us.

I hope this was helpful, Kathryn! Fall will be here before you know it! Come back to see us if you have any more questions. We are always here for you at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
