If I book a Good Neighbor Hotel in the Disney Springs area through the hotel's website and not Disney, do I still receive the benefits of magic hour and booking fast passes 60 days in advance?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karrie! Thanks for bringing us your question about Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels.

The way you book your hotel will not affect your benefits. But there is a difference between Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels and Disney Good Neighbor Hotels.

Disney Good Neighbor Hotels are often a 5 to 10- minute drive to any of the four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. They do not offer any benefits like the ones you would receive at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels or Disney Springs Resort Area hotels.

But there is a bright side, while you would not get to enjoy Extra Magic Hours or a FastPass+ reservation window 60 days before your visit, they may offer a few perks like free continental breakfast and free or low-priced shuttle service to the theme parks. You would have to check with the specific location to learn more about their services.

Guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels are walking distance from Disney Springs and can enjoy limited benefits like free transportation to and from the theme parks, Extra Magic Hours and the ability to make FastPass+ reservations 60 days before their vacation. Complimentary parking at the theme parks and MagicBands are not included with their stay.

Karrie, my family and I have stayed at all of the hotels I’ve listed above. There’s great value at any of them, I would say, just choose the one that fits your needs. If Extra Magic Hours and having those extra 30 days to make your FastPass+ reservations are a deal breaker, your best bet is to stay at a Disney Springs Resort Area hotel or a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Hope this information is helpful when you’re choosing your resort!
