How do I book a genie plus time for a large group (10-12 people) if everyone is paying separately?

Welcome to planDisney, Linnea, where we try to grant all your wishes! Genie and I will help prepare your whole party for a magical Walt Disney World Resort adventure. And, wow, what a group you have. I planned a trip a few years ago for ten ladies, so I understand what you're facing. Although planning for a large group has its challenges, there's nothing like seeing those shining faces enjoying the theme parks and knowing that you were the one who helped make it happen. So, let's find a way to link your party and get you in those Lightning Lanes!

Before your visit begins, invite everyone in your party to your My Disney Experience Family & Friends list via the Add Friend link. Once everyone is linked, and you are sharing plans with all of them, you'll be set for your visit.

On the morning you'd like to purchase Disney's Genie+ Service, have each member of your party open their My Disney Experience Mobile App and click the Tip Board Tile. Our big blue Genie friend should greet you near the top of the screen with the option Purchase for Today and the day's price listed. Each guest can complete this step and pay individually. Be sure you allow everyone plenty of time to do this before the 7:00 AM window opens to book your first Lightning Lane experience.

At 7:00 AM, you should be able to go to the Tip Board on your mobile app and choose the experience you'd like to book for your entire party. When you tap Book Experience, the following screen will show a list of Family & Friends for you to choose from. Next, click everyone in your party and then the blue Confirm Party button at the bottom of the screen. Then, you'll be all set for your first Lightning Lane experience!

Remember that you can book a second Lightning Lane two hours after the theme park opens or once you've scanned into your first experience, whichever comes first. From then on, you can book every two hours or when you've used your current Lightning Lane. Getting used to the system will take a little practice, but you'll be a pro cruising along on your magic carpet before you know it.

A few attractions not included in your Genie+ service require an Individual Lightning Lane purchase. These are some of the newest and most popular attractions, and the prices for these vary. These can be purchased in the mobile app on the day of, and the easiest way to ensure everyone in your party has the same time slot is for one person to book and pay for everyone and then get reimbursed. The other option is to choose a time and have everyone book as close to that time as they can and pay for their own.

It's a whole new world with Genie+ Service, Linnea, and I'm sure your group will have a blast on your next visit. The Lightning Lanes allow you to bypass the standby queues, so you can check so many items off your must-do list. Please stop by planDisney anytime because you've got a friend in me!

    Magic awaits,
