Hey Howdy Hey Lauren and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about booking a hotel with our More Great Accommodation friends in Flamingo Crossing. I will be happy to help you get a little more information on booking these resorts through the Walt Disney World Resort site.
When you are looking online at booking resort hotels with your upcoming trip, this can be a little tricky to understand with so many options you have. One of the biggest things to be aware of is the difference between
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and all the hotels in the
More Great Accommodations category.
All hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection are owned and operated by Walt Disney World themselves and are located on Walt Disney World property. Those hotels in the More Great Accommodations category are third-party hotels that are very close to Disney, like Home 2 Suites or Fairfield Inn, with partnerships with Disney but are separate from Disney. Their partnerships and proximity to the parks allow you to book their accommodations online through the Walt Disney World site and experience many of the benefits you would when booking a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
When it comes to
Special Offers on room discounts, if you are seeing this on the Walt Disney World site, this usually only applies to Disney Resort Collection hotels and not the More Great accommodation category hotels. With all offers available in the Special Offers section, you should be able to log into your
My Disney Experience account and see all of the specifics of the offers as well as the hotel accommodations that qualify for them. You might find special offers with the specific hotels you are looking for on other hotel search engines but rarely will you find them on the Walt Disney World site.
Feel free to book your vacation with our partners under the More Great Accommodations section as most do qualify for the perks of booking online such as 60-day dining reservations and
Early Theme Park Entry. This information is also available through the specific hotels themselves as well.
I hope this helps to clear up your options for booking your resort for your upcoming trip. Please feel free to stop back with any further questions you may have, we are happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
