Hi there, Jessica!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd love to help you with your question regarding
Disney MaxPass. This new feature of the
Disneyland app has completely transformed the way my family visits the parks of the Disneyland Resort. With the ability to make digital Disney FASTPASS selections, we now save so much time versus having to walk to obtain FASTPASSES like before. We also can make more selections meaning we experience more attractions than ever with less time spent in lines. Since Disney MaxPass also includes Disney PhotoPass downloads, I now can capture all of our magical memories right on my mobile device.
When you link a ticket or pass to the Disneyland app, you are essentially making a copy of your ticket bar code on the app. This means you can use your paper park ticket or app interchangeably at any locations that would scan your ticket. For example, you can scan your paper ticket or app ticket at the park entrance gates. When you make a FASTPASS selection at a kiosk or via Disney MaxPass, your return time is linked to your ticket, and you are more than welcome to scan your paper or electronic ticket on the app when you enter the attraction. Even though I prefer to always use my app whenever I need to show my ticket, I always carry and recommend taking your paper ticket with you at all times. This is in case your phone has technical difficulties, and you for some reason cannot access your ticket.
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
