Hi, Dorothea! Welcome to planDisney!
Well, I'll be a Mouse's uncle, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is less than a week away! Time to get all those final details in order - like
what you're going to ride first! No worries, Dorothea. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Disney recently announced that FastPass+ service is retiring to make way for a brand new way to plan your Disney day. It's called Disney Genie, and you've never had a friend like it! I'll give you a preview here, but since you'll be arriving soon, just know that Disney Genie may not be available for you to use just yet. To ride all of your favorite attractions next week, you'll simply jump into the regular standby queue. (Here's a planDisney tip: Your best bet for the shortest wait time on the attractions is to arrive at the theme parks at opening!)
Disney Genie will help guide you through your practically perfect day by focusing in on the things you love most. From princesses to droids, you can create a customized itinerary that includes all your favorites. You'll get projected attraction wait times throughout the day, tip boards, and a chat feature that will connect you to real-time advice if you need a little help.
All of those basic features are free, but if you add Disney Genie+ for an extra charge, your plans are turbo-charged! Disney Genie+ lets you hop into the Lightning Lane on most attractions around the theme parks, allowing you to select the next available time to ride without waiting in the standby queue. Individual attraction Lightning Lane access is also available separately for some of the most popular rides in the parks.
You'll find
more information about Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and the Lightning Lane on the Walt Disney World website. You can also check out
this super helpful video on the Disney Parks YouTube channel. Keep an eye out for Disney Genie to start helping you plan your day very soon!
Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, Dorothea. Have a magical vacation, and be sure to come back again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
