I'm happy to hear you are planning your journey to a galaxy far, far away ahead of time! While I won't ask if you are part of the First Order or the Resistance, it's always good to be prepared as you make your way through
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I took a look at the reservation calendar for
Savi's Workshop, and I see that the dates for October are still gray and unavailable even though we are within the typical 60-day window. I spoke with a contact on Batuu, and they reassured me these dates would start to open up soon. Reservations open up no more than 60 days prior but can also open in less than 60 days. They encourage you to continue to check back for availability. If you're on top of it, I don't believe you will have an issue securing a spot at Savi's. I would set a daily alert in your calendar to give the reservation page a little refresh to see if anything has opened up!
The Fantasmic! Dining Packages are a great option if you are looking for a delicious meal that includes a prime viewing spot for this spectacular show. Once we move into September, Fantasmic! will only take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, which may be why you are seeing some difficulty here in booking. There are a few dining package options so let's walk through them together.
- River Belle Terrace Premium Seating: this deluxe experience includes a seated dinner on the patio during that evening's Fantasmic! performance. It's the only place where you can eat and watch at the same time. You would book this particular experience through the Fantasmic! Dining Package page on the website.
- Blue Bayou Restaurant: The Blue Bayou Restaurant offers a Fantasmic! Dining Package as well. Here, you have more flexibility on timing and can enjoy either lunch or dinner. For your dates, you would book this package as well through the Fantasmic! Dining Package page. You will notice that you are only able to check timing for October 2nd and October 7th as those fall on weekend evenings when the show is performing.
- River Belle Terrace Standard Seating: for this experience, you would make a regular lunch or dinner reservation at River Belle Terrace and request the Fantasmic! Dining Package from your server upon arrival. You will get to choose from a special Fantasmic! dining menu and will receive a voucher at the end of your meal for your viewing spot.
- Hungry Bear Restaurant: The Fantasmic! On-the-Go Package at Hungry Bear Restaurant is a great option if you are short on time or not in the mood for a full sit-down experience. This requires an advance reservation on the Fantasmic! On-the-Go Package website. Your reservation will include a meal pick-up time which will dictate which show you will see. Pick-up times from 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. will include a voucher for the first performance while pick-ups from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will include a spot for the second show.
The Fantasmic! Dining Packages are quite popular and reservations do go quickly. That said, I will toss a little pixie dust in the air and encourage you to keep checking. Guests are always changing their plans and a reservation may open up!
