Bright Suns Sally!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to help you plan your galactic adventure to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
I think you’re wanting to ride the newest attraction at the Disneyland Resort,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. You’ll join the Resistance in an epic battle against the First Order where you’ll experience something like never before. I was finally able to take my family on the attraction last weekend and everyone agreed that it is by far the best attraction ever created. In order to ride, you’re going to need to
secure a Boarding Pass. By far, your best chance of getting a boarding pass is using the
Disneyland Mobile App with your smartphone or mobile device. Please download the app and link everyone’s tickets ahead of time. You need to have your tickets scanned and be inside the Disneyland Park gates before official park opening hours for the day. Once that clock strikes opening time, you will try to get a boarding pass in the app and if all goes well you'll secure one for you and your group.
PRO TIP: You can have multiple phones trying to secure a Boarding Pass at the same time and I highly recommend doing so. Even though you will have multiple phones trying, keep in mind that each person will only get to secure one Boarding Pass per day.
If you don’t have a smartphone or other mobile device then you can try to get a Boarding Pass from one of the two kiosks inside Disneyland Park. One of them is located by
Splash Mountain and the other one is located by
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. I’ve seen people try to get them through the kiosk and unless you are the front couple of people at a kiosk, the chances are not that great. Bring a buddy or make a friend at the gate to add you to their group. Seriously, you want to use the app to get a Boarding Pass.
Well Sally, I hope you are successful on your trip to Planet Batuu and are able to secure a Boarding Pass.
‘Til the Spire,
Andres
