Hi there, Laurie!
What a MAGICal adventure you have planned for this summer in
Alaska! I love that this
itinerary is so unique and one you'll never forget, Laurie. And the best way to experience it is by venturing ashore. The Port Adventures offered on these sailings allow you to see this breathtaking state by land, sea, and air. It's my number one tip for Alaska, as I've been fortunate enough to experience it in all three ways.
Laurie, you will be able to reserve your
Port Adventures when your a
dvance booking window opens, and your cruise is paid in full. This is determined by your
Castaway Club status level. If you are new to cruising with Disney Cruise Line, this window opens 75 days before your departure. Silver level is 90 days, Gold is 105 days, Platinum is 120 days, Pearl is 123 days, and Concierge Guests is 130 days. The booking window will open at midnight EST. You'll want to be logged in to the
Disney Cruise Line website and look for "Already Booked." Under the "Already Booked" tab, you'll select "Book/Manage Cruise Activities." Here you'll see "My Plans," and you can click each day to select "Port Adventures" to see availability. You can also use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app by selecting "My Plans" from the bottom menu. Again, you'll be able to choose a day and then select "Port Adventures" to see what's offered.
My advice while you wait is to research each port and pick three or four excursions that you'd like to experience in case any of your choices are sold out. When I am selecting what to do ashore, I always pay close attention to the duration and the "Know Before You Go" section. You want to know how long you'll be off the ship and any important details to consider when selecting your adventure. As I mentioned earlier, I love that Alaska offers so many ways to explore "The Last Frontier," so be sure to choose different modes of transportation to better understand our 49th state.
Laurie, I hope I've steered you in the right direction. Please feel free to reach out again if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help.
Nancy
