Welcome aboard, Lorie!
Thank you very much for visiting the Moms Panel. Planning for excursions at the various ports of call is always exciting. There's just way too many things to do and so little time. You've really got to plan for your port adventures according to the comfort level of your family members. If you've got certain excursions that you really want to go on, you should book it early, since spots do sell out. You can always cancel 3 days prior to your sail date, so you can take the time to do more research or ask for recommended attractions at each port.
Cancellations on the Disney Cruise do happen, so if you are looking to go on a specific port adventure which is sold out, you can also go on a wait list. You can always check in at the Port Adventures desk for further details when you are already on board.
Your children are more than welcome to stay on board while you and your husband enjoy a port adventure. We have done this many times, and our kids usually don't mind since they just love being at the clubs. There's always something new going on each day with the awesome Youth Counselors. They'll be fed during meal times too, so don't worry -- your kids will be in good hands at the
Youth Clubs. For
Palo dining reservations and cancellations, you will need to cancel prior to 2pm on the same day of your reservation. Otherwise, it is considered confirmed. On embarkation day, the restaurant managers will be available to help you make dining reservations or dining rotation changes. I do hope you get a chance to dine at Palo - it is such a gastronomic experience and it's my all time favorite restaurant!
