Excursions, or “Port Adventures" as they’re known in the Disney cruise world, are one of the best, most fun, and memorable parts of a Disney cruise! They help build those magical memories and adventures, and make for some of the best vacation experience stories when you come back home!
You may book your
Port Adventures either on the Disney Cruise Line website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. To start, your reservation should be entered into either one. Even though you may have already done it, I’ll walk you through it, just in case. You may add your Disney cruise reservation by tapping “Add Reservation” and then entering the reservation number, birthdate, and last name of one guest in your stateroom (such as your own).
Now that your reservation is entered, you have one more task before booking those awesome Port Adventures: you must wait for your
booking window to open, which is determined by your
Castaway Club status. Once your booking window opens, you can add the desired Port Adventure by going into your reservation, either on the Disney Cruise Line website or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and then tapping “My Plans”. From there, choose the port day you’d like to reserve the Port Adventure for, and then tap “Port Adventures” and select the one you desire. Then Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, you’re on your way to magical adventures!
Since some Port Adventures are
super popular, I suggest reserving them as soon as your booking window opens.
If you’re unsure of what some Port Adventures entail, and want to learn more about them in detail while at home, the Disney Cruise Line website does a great job explaining each one, even adding in some recommendations of what to bring along, etc. All you need to do to find this information is search for your port destination on the Disney Cruise Line website and then navigate to “Port Adventures” for each one.
