Welcome to planDisney, John!
John, I love chatting with other
Disney Vacation Club Members and am excited to see that you're planning a trip for next year. With the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort on October 1, 2021, next year is bound to have extra pixie dust, and personally... I can't wait!
Now, John, let's talk about securing your reservation! If you're
booking your reservation using points you are able to book that stay exactly 11 months from your check-in date (
pending availability) at your "home" resort. Based on your question, it looks like your booking window may be opening today! John, you can book online by
signing into your Disney Vacation Club account and then clicking on the "Plan a Vacation" tab at the top of the screen. From there you'll enter specifics about your traveling party and dates you're looking to book. This screen will also show you the current number of Disney Vacation Club points accessible to you in this use year. If you'd rather call in to book, you'll want to
speak to a Cast Member at Member Service.
As you are planning out your next Magical vacation, keep in mind that as the Disney Vacation Club properties are operating in a phased reopening state, Members who want to borrow Points to complete a reservation
will temporarily only be able to borrow up to 50 percent of their future Use Year Points per contract.
John, I hope this helps as you are looking ahead to next October. Just as
Jiminy Cricket encouraged, I'll be wishing on a star for you that whichever villa accommodation you're hoping for is available! Whether you are dreaming about an island-inspired trip at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows or a European style getaway at
Disney's Riviera Resort (or anything in between), I hope your vacation is full of unforgettable moments.
Please come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have.
Lauren
