I want to book at Disneys Port Orleans Riverside using points... how do i do that?

Welcome Home, Rebekah! I'm so happy to see you back at planDisney with another excellent vacation planning question. It's always a great day to chat about all things Disney Vacation Club, so let's dive right in!

Disney's Port Orleans Hotel - Riverside is my very favorite of the Moderate resorts at Walt Disney World Resort. It's so peaceful and feels like you've been transported to the bayou--complete with some Royal Guest Rooms with magical details inspired by The Princess and the Frog. We always enjoy taking the water taxi to Disney Springs, or strolling over to Disney's Port Orleans Hotel - French Quarter for some beignets from Scat Cat's Club - Cafe. The path to the Port Orleans is also great for a morning run!

Rebekah, one of the very best benefits of Disney Vacation Club membership is the ability to exchange Vacation Points to stay at many Resort Hotels at Walt Disney World (and the other Disney parks around the world!) that are part of the Disney Collection. I find that many Members don't know that this is an option--kudos to you for being so knowledgeable! Bookings can be made up to 11 months before your planned check-in date, depending on whether Points Charts are available at that time, and whether the resort is accepting Member reservations.

To book your own bayou getaway at the Port Orleans - Riverside, contact Member Services and my pals there will do their very best to make some vacation magic for you! Before you call, it's important to know that using Vacation Points for a Disney Collection stay requires a one-time nonrefundable transaction fee of $95 (subject to change).

I hope the stars align for you to enjoy a wonderful December vacation, Rebekah--perhaps Mama Odie can work a little of her magic for you! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions for your next Disney adventure.

    Stay Magical!
