Hi there Briana,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! I love the
Halloween season at the Disneyland Resort and actually was able to go to
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party for the very first time last year. It was amazing and we hope to turn it into a yearly tradition!
Tickets to this special event won't go on sale until late summer and is a separately ticketed event, so my suggestion would be to start booking the rest of your vacation and then plan on purchasing those tickets later this year when they go on sale. This is an extremely popular event and tickets historically sell out quickly, so I would plan to be ready to purchase them as soon as they open up for sale!
Currently, to visit one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. While you can purchase your park tickets at any time, the park reservation window is available about 6 months out. This means you won't be able to make the park reservations for your October trip until April.
However, in the meantime, you can still book the other details of your vacation! My preferred method is through the
Disneyland Resort website. On the homepage, you can use the "Build Your Vacation" tool near the top navigation menu to start planning and booking components like your hotel stay.
Thanks again for your question, Briana! I hope you have a fun time planning and make new magical memories at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
