Welcome to planDisney, Jessica! As magical as the
Disneyland Resort is this year, 2026 is already shaping up to be equally enchanting, and I’m so happy to help you begin planning your next unforgettable getaway!
Vacation packages and
hotel rates for 2026 will likely be released around August 2025. While we’re still waiting for an official announcement, this release window has been fairly consistent in past years. I recommend keeping a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates on package details, seasonal offerings, and those special touches that make each visit uniquely magical.
Theme park tickets and
reservations can typically be made up to 180 days in advance, though this window is always subject to change. Since you’re hoping to visit in late January 2026, I’d suggest starting to check for ticket availability and park reservations right around July 31, 2025. The Theme Park Tickets page on the Disneyland website will have the most accurate and up-to-date information when you’re ready to book.
Jessica, as you plan your adventure, I highly recommend checking out the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This service allows you to reserve return times for select attractions, so you can spend less time in line and more time enjoying a Matterhorn Macaroon from Jolly Holiday Bakery Café or sipping a seasonal cold brew from the Cappuccino Cart. The Multi Pass can be purchased in advance or the day of your visit, and once you’ve scanned into the park, you’ll be able to select your return times directly in the Disneyland app.
One more tip: January is often a quieter time to visit the parks, with cooler temperatures, gentler crowds, and that calm atmosphere that’s perfect for leisurely exploring. It’s also a great time to experience limited-time offerings like the Lunar New Year celebration in Disney California Adventure, or to catch classic attractions returning from their annual refurbishments. Be sure to check the Disneyland app for attraction availability and entertainment schedules as your trip approaches.
I hope this helps as you dream up your 2026 Disneyland visit, Jessica! If you have any more questions or want help fine-tuning your plans, we’d be thrilled to welcome you back to planDisney.
Wishing you a visit full of wonder, warmth, and wintertime magic,
David
