I want to book a Disney World vacation for December 26, 2022 - January 1, 2023 but all of the Disney World hotels say unavailable. How do I book our room and purchase tickets

    Hi Debra!

Here at planDisney we applaud your early planning!

The week between New Year's Day and Christmas is quite popular at Walt Disney World, so good for you for jumping in early. Booking for Walt Disney World Resorts opens 499 days in advance, so you may reserve your hotel starting later this month. To book this far out, you will need to do so by phone at (409) 939-1936. Have something on hand to keep you occupied besides listening to Disney hold music; wait times are currently taking longer than normal.

Tickets and park reservations are available for the dates of your trip online, so you may book those now. The ticket pricing calendar is up through December 31, 2023, but you may purchase a multi day ticket for late December that takes you through early January.

Disney magic is in full force over the holidays. Millions of twinkling lights, thousands of poinsettias, and hundreds of spectacularly decorated Christmas trees keep you in a festive mood. I adore the well themed resort festooning. Check out the gingerbread house you can walk into at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa (suspended during covid). You can even buy a gingerbread shingle; I recommend one dipped in chocolate.

Wishing you a very merry visit!
