Ah, a fellow planner! Welcome to
planDisney, Christopher.
I applaud you for thinking ahead. Now don't mishear me. There's nothing wrong with a last-minute Disney trip. In fact, since it's currently the
50th Anniversary Celebration, a spontaneous adventure to
Walt Disney World would make my joy soar to infinity and beyond! However, I always think planning ahead leads to a far more magical vacation. The further you book in advance, the more likely you are to reserve your desired hotel and restaurants. It also gives you more time and flexibility to plan out what your days are going to look like. Therefore, a 2023 trip sounds practically perfect in every way.
As I type these words, Christoper, there is no official date for when next year's vacation packages will be available. But here's a tip: when we look back on previous years, vacation packages for the following year tend to be released during the summer. Knowing this pattern, here's my advice to you: As this summer approaches, keep checking
Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World
website. That way, as soon as those vacation packages are released, you'll be one of the first people in line.
Now, if you wanted to simply make a room-only reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, then you can actually do that up to 499 days in advance. You'd just have to call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and speak to a Cast Member. However, if you want to book a vacation package then you'll have to wait a bit longer.
I hope that gives you some clarity, Christopher. By the time you arrive, I'm sure there'll be a whole new world to see and experience. The much-anticipated
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is due to open this summer, and my favorite nighttime spectacular,
Fantasmic! is due to return later this year too.
Have a magical vacation, Christoper. If you have any questions or need any recommendations, don't hesitate to
write back to us.
In the words of my pal, Woody, “So long, partner."
