Hi Sam, and welcome to planDisney! I'm more than happy to chat with you about how to modify dates for your
Disney Resort Hotel reservations and/or
Theme Park Tickets for your upcoming visit!
If you haven't yet booked your reservation and are concerned you may need to make date adjustments as you plan, you may want to consider booking your hotel and tickets together as part of a
Disney Vacation Package. This one reservation would simplify the modification process and offer you a little more flexibility in planning your visit. For me, it's the ease of having everything in one place for budgeting and planning that I love!
To book a vacation package, you will first need to log into your
My Disney Experience account when you visit the official
Walt Disney World website. You can use the Build Your Vacation tool on the homepage to select your travel dates, party, and preferred resort choice. From here, you will be offered options to add theme park tickets and
dining plans. At this time, to secure your reservation, you will be asked to pay a $200 deposit with the balance of your trip due 30 days prior to your check-in
(please note that prices and terms are subject to change without notice).
If at any time you need to make changes to your dates or travel package, you can visit your My Disney Experience account, select "My Plans", and then click on "Change Reservation". From here you can edit each individual component of your vacation package, including the dates. Currently, there is no penalty for modifying or cancelling a vacation package up to 30 days before.
If you have already booked your resort reservation and tickets separately and they are linked in your My Disney Experience account, the process to change the resort dates would be the same as described above. The unused tickets can also be modified in a separate process through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. To complete this change, first click on Tickets and Passes. Next, find the ticket you wish to modify and select "Change Ticket". Finally, select the new date and follow the prompts to modify your existing ticket, and you should be all set!
Sam I hope this is helpful as you narrow down your vacation dates to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth! Since it looks like you will be visiting in March, I also encourage you to keep up with the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements about special events like the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival! This is one of my favorite springtime events on property; I love the topiaries of classic Disney favorites, the delicious cuisine offerings, and the live entertainment offerings!
We hope to see you real soon!
