Hi there, Michael!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for sending your question our way. It looks like you're considering a late November vacation to Walt Disney World. What a fantastic time to visit! The theme parks and resorts are filled with
holiday decorations, and various special events make the season even merrier. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog as information about this year's offerings is released.
To reserve a vacation package with a
dining plan, you must book directly with the
Walt Disney Travel Company, online or over the
phone. Costco travel packages do not offer dining plans and cannot be modified to include them once linked to your My Disney Experience account. I understand wanting to take advantage of savings through your Costco membership, and I have a few ideas for this, Michael!
I'm a fellow Costco member, and while I don't typically book Disney vacation packages with my membership, I use Costco's travel website to reserve car rentals. I have found some great deals, especially from Orlando International Airport. Usually, my family relies on
Walt Disney World Resort Transportation when we visit (it's so relaxing to leave the car at home and let someone else drive!). Still, there are some circumstances when renting a car is more convenient. I like to have a car when participating in a
runDisney event or when we plan to visit family in the area before or after our Disney Resort stay. Costco's rental car deals are excellent, so if you're considering a rental car for all or a portion of your trip, this is another way you can utilize your membership.
Another perk of shopping at Costco is occasional
Disney Gift Card discounts. Check for these on your next outing or Costco's website. Last December, I stocked up on Disney Gift Cards (the offer was 10% off gift card purchases up to $500) and used them to cover some dining expenses on an upcoming vacation. Buying discounted Disney Gift Cards at your local big box store or supermarket (Target sometimes has similar offers) is a great way to save money on dining if you book your stay through Costco and forego a dining plan.
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Michael! If there's anything else we can do for you as your vacation approaches, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're all ears!
Wishing you a jolly holiday,
Betsy
