Hi Tracie! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by!
I'm excited you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation in the new year! There is nothing quite like looking forward to a visit to the
Most Magical Place on Earth and all the amazing experiences that await.
When booking a vacation package that includes your Disney Resorts hotel reservation and park tickets, you will be required to pay a deposit. Currently, this amount is $200, although this is subject to change at any time. You'll then have up to 30 days before your arrival to pay the remaining balance. While I'm sure
canceling your stay is not what you are hoping for, in the event that it does happen, you will receive any money back (including your deposit) if you cancel more than 30 days before your stay. If you cancel within these 30 days and up to two days before, you will receive any additional money paid but will incur a $200 cancellation fee (subject to change at any time), which is essentially the deposit. If you cancel a day before your visit, you will forfeit the entire amount you have paid.
My suggestion is to book your stay as soon as possible. This is especially true if you have a specific
Disney Resorts hotel and room type you are looking for. There is no guarantee if you wait to book that it will be available when the time comes. You'll also have a ton of flexibility to modify or cancel your plans leading up to your trip. Essentially, this will be a worry-free booking that you can slowly start to pay off as you get closer to your arrival.
Tracie, I hope this information helps you plan for your visit!
Please stop back again to planDisney with any questions that come your way. We'll be happy to help you create a magical Disney vacation!
