Hi Catherine, welcome to planDisney!
It’s lovely to help a fellow Guest from the UK plan their magical adventure to
Disney World… especially when Disney dining is on the menu!
I travelled across the pond from the UK last summer and booked the Quick-Service meal package, so I can offer a little insight into what it includes for your holiday. As a family of sports fans, we stayed at
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, and loved being immersed in the Disney magic from the moment we arrived.
If you decide to book the
Free Dining and Drinks offer and choose to stay at a
Value Resort Hotel, you will receive 1 Quick-Service Meal and 1 Non-Alcoholic/Alcoholic Drink per meal, per person, per night of your stay. This is different from the
Quick-Service Dining Plan,
Table-Service Dining Plan, or
Deluxe Dining Plan, which you are interested in upgrading to.
I'm happy to share that if you book your Walt Disney World package directly, you are very welcome to
phone and upgrade your Dining Plan at an additional cost and subject to availability. I hope you’re not too disheartened to hear that if you book your holiday through a third-party provider, this may not be an option for you. However, I still recommend giving them a call and talking through your magical options.
There are so many
fantastic dining options throughout Walt Disney World to choose from on the Dining Plans, so I thought I’d share a few of my family’s favourites with you!
When it comes to Quick-Service locations, we are big fans of
Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom. It's a great spot to dine before watching the parade float by at Liberty Square.
My family can all agree that
Space 220 at EPCOT was out of this world! It's a truly unique experience, with cosmic creations on the menu, I particularly enjoyed the Galaxy Spritz and the Starry Calamari.
I hope whichever dining option you decide on, you have the most wonderful time and make memories to last a lifetime.
If you have any more questions, I’d be delighted to help over at
planDisney.
Magic Awaits,
Abi
