Welcome back to planDisney Cristy and thanks for stopping by with your question! I’m excited to help you understand how split stays work with packages, tickets, and dining plans so you can make the most of your time at
Walt Disney World and enjoy every magical meal with your family.
You can add more days of the dining plan, but there are some important details. The
Disney Dining Plan can only be purchased for days that are part of a Disney Resort hotel package with park tickets. If your second reservation is not a package, meaning it’s just a hotel stay without tickets, Disney does not automatically allow adding the dining plan for that stay.
For split stays, the dining plan usually only applies to the nights included in a package with tickets. If your second reservation is a standalone hotel stay, you would need to either convert it into a package by adding park tickets or purchase the dining plan as an add on, which typically requires adding tickets to that reservation.
You cannot extend a dining plan beyond the number of days that correspond to your package tickets. For example, if your first package is one night with four day tickets and the dining plan, the plan will cover those four ticketed days. If your second stay does not include tickets, you cannot simply add more dining plan days without converting it into a package with tickets.
Cristy, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
