Caitlin from JP-25 Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Can you book a Disney hotel stay on the WDW website, and then book your tickets separately from your hotel but still through the WDW website and still be eligible for the Disney Dining Plan?

Welcome to planDisney, Caitlin. Let's get your question answered!

At this time, to be able to purchase a dining plan, you must have a vacation package booked, which consists of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation and theme park tickets purchased together. You will not be able to purchase a dining plan if you have separately booked a room reservation and theme park tickets, even if you have done so on the Walt Disney World Resort website.

Did you know that Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel in 2025 can visit one of the water parks at the resort on their check-in day...and it's included in their stay?! That's right. You can visit either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, whichever is open when you visit, for free if you are staying at one of these amazing hotels! So make sure you arrive early to enjoy this wonderful perk. And since it looks like you'll be arriving in August, it'll be a great time to use it!

Caitlin, happy planning and make sure you reach out again if you have any other questions!

    Most everyone's mad here,
