    If I book a Disney hotel through a 3rd party site, and I have linked the reservation to my MDE account, can I take advantage of future hotel discounts (ie, 30% off) that may come up, as I would be able to if I had booked straight through Disney?

    Welcome to planDisney! Finding the best deal is something I am passionate about. I love keeping an eye on the Special Offers page to see what new deals come out that overlap my upcoming trips! 

    I see a special offer for the fall and holiday season that could work out well for your upcoming trip! When applying a special offer, an existing reservation is either modified or canceled and the new offer is used for the reservation. These special offers are applied to select rooms at select Resorts and your reservation with that third-party booking site most likely will not be a part of these special offers.  This may mean it will be a little more complex of a change. I have had to cancel and re-book even when I booked directly through Walt Disney World Resort and wanted to apply a special offer. In your situation, you may have to make the cancellation yourself or go through that third-party site you used to make any changes. There is always the possibility that your original price is better so I suggest looking up the room costs first and comparing before making any irreversible decisions. Be mindful of any cancellation policies that you may have with that third-party site and make your adjustments as early as you can as the rooms with the special offers can run out. 

    They just announced the performers who will be entertaining guests at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! As a millennial, I literally squealed at the lineup and am excited to try and enjoy a performance by quite a few of them before the festival is over. I always purchase an Eat to the Beat Dining Package so that I am guaranteed a seat and a delicious meal!
