How do I book a Disney cruise using my DVC points?

Hello, Colleen and welcome to planDisney. It’s great to SEA you here and I’m happy to chat with you about setting sail with Captain Minnie (or Mickey)!

As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I love the flexibility offered in this very special club to not only visit Walt Disney World, but use points for a variety of destinations including Disney Cruise Line. Before we get into booking your trip, I first encourage you to check out the points charts for the sailing you’ve selected (or browse the points charts if you’re still in the exploration phase of trip planning).

When you’re ready to book, you’ll need to call into Member Services and speak with a representative who will be able to convert your Vacation Points to Reservation Points. Colleen, click HERE to read more about this conversion. In addition, you ARE able to use a combination of Reservation Points and cash to pay for your vacation as long as one guest is entirely paid for with Reservation Points. This is a great option if you want to save any points for future vacations or want to avoid borrowing.

Colleen, whether you’re hoping to marvel at the glaciers in Alaska, enjoy the culture of the Mediterranean or relax on Castaway Cay, I hope this information is helpful.

If you have any additional questions, please steer your ship back to planDisney where we love to help guests find Magic in every wave.

My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
