Hiya, Tim! I’m so glad you decided to visit us at planDisney today!
While priority boarding times are not guaranteed when you
book your ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line, in my experience, I have found that our crew does get to board the ship sooner than most when we take the shuttle. Not only that, but it simplifies the entire process, from luggage handling to peace of mind. My kids always know that the moment they step on that Disney Cruise bus, our vacation has begun!
For your trip this summer, you can book shuttle service from Orlando International Airport to and from the port, or from your Disney Resort if you opted for a
Land and Sea Package. You may also want to reference this handy
packing list and guidance on
where to place your luggage tags on your checked baggage. It’s also wise to pack necessities (like
travel documentation and medications) in a carry-on bag since you may not be reunited with your luggage until a few hours after your stateroom is ready.
Speaking of staterooms, I love bringing magnets to decorate the outside of our door. It’s fun to see how everyone celebrates their vacation, plus it helps us quickly identify which room is ours when walking back after dinner or a day in the sun. You can also order decorations for inside your stateroom through
Onboard Gifts if you want your sailing to be even more festive.
However you choose to get to the port, just know an ocean of fun awaits you. If you think of any other questions before your trip, I hope you’ll head back to us here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
