Ahoy, Adeline!
Welcome back to planDisney! I love that you’re planning to
combine the best of both worlds—a dream on the high seas followed by a land full of magic. That’s the kind of vacation that has me humming “A Whole New World” every time I think about it!
Great news: yes, you can book
Disney ground transfers from your ship back to Walt Disney World Resort while onboard! But before we start singing “Hakuna Matata,” here’s the catch—availability isn’t guaranteed, especially on popular sailings. These motorcoach transfers can fill up faster than you can say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” so the earlier you book, the better.
If you decide to wait until you’re onboard, head to Guest Services on embarkation day to see if there’s space still available for your whole crew. I double-checked with an amazing Disney Cruise Line Cast Member to confirm that this is still the case, and they sprinkled in a little extra pixie dust just to make sure.
Now for my personal recommendation: book your transfers in advance, as early as possible before you set sail. Transfers to Walt Disney World Resort from Port Canaveral can be booked up to three days before your cruise, and the current cost is $45 per person (ages 3 and up) for a one-way trip. It’s one of those “better safe than searching for a pumpkin carriage” situations.
Having your transportation arranged ahead of time means all you’ll need to do is step off the ship and hop aboard your magical motorcoach, with Mickey guiding the way back to the magic of the theme parks.
I hope this helps as you piece together the perfect pixie-dusted itinerary! If you have any other
questions about sailing or staying with Disney, feel free to float another message my way!
Sea ya real soon with a June full of sun, sea, and shipshape adventures,
Dustin
