Hi Jessica! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! You have a Walt Disney World vacation on the horizon! This is one of the more exciting times as you are deciding which dining locations you want to eat at and what attractions you want to ride! One of the more unique things you can book is character dining experiences at select restaurants around the Resort. Since the phased reopening, many of these experiences have been modified or, unfortunately, have not returned just yet. There are currently only two dinner reservations that you can book with a princess in attendance,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White and
Cinderella's Royal Table.
To make
Advanced Dining Reservations for
Character Dining or any dining experience, you can do so 60 days in advance of your arrival date. You'll need to head over to the
Walt Disney World website and under "Things To Do", click on "Make Reservations". Scroll down to the restaurant you wish to make a reservation for and follow the prompts to do so. Both of these princess dining experiences are tough reservations to get, so make sure you are trying first thing in the morning to snag one.
If you are looking for a more personalized experience with princesses, I would recommend visiting
Princess Fairytale Hall during your Magic Kingdom day. Cinderella, Princess Tiana, and various other princesses have returned for a modified meet and greet inside. Here you can take photos and conversate with each of them from a safe distance.
Let's switch gears here and discuss the new service that Disney introduced a few months back,
Disney Genie+. This service replaced the old FastPass system that was a staple in the parks for years. The concept is the same; it is a way to bypass the standby queue and wait less time for attractions. Disney Genie+ is a paid service that can be purchased before your visit if you already have multi-day tickets. (Note: You can not purchase Disney Genie+ before your visit if you only purchased a single-day ticket. You will need to wait until the day of to do so.) To make this change, log on to your
My Disney Experience account and select "Park Tickets". Once there, you should have a "Change Ticket" option. Click on that and follow the prompts to add on Disney Genie+. If you have any trouble doing so, give the
Existing Ticket line a call to speak with a Cast Member. They will be more than happy to assist.
Jessica, I hope you have an amazing time on your upcoming visit!
See ya real soon!
