Hello, Laura!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for visiting us with your question about the
Disneyland Resort. I hope you’re looking forward to vacationing at the Happiest Place on Earth soon!
The resort does require a credit card to secure a
dining reservation, but in most cases it is used only as a placeholder, meaning that you won’t be charged before you dine unless you miss your reservation or don’t cancel within the restaurant’s allowed cancellation period. There are select dining events and tours that require a full prepayment obligation, but packages that combine a dining experience with reserved viewing for a parade or show (like
Fantasmic! Dining Packages or
Paint the Night Parade Dining Packages, for example) usually don’t require payment until you arrive and enjoy your meal. Disneyland Resort dining reservations are highly recommended and available up to 60 days in advance at select restaurants. Reservations can be made online or by calling (714) 781-3463.
I hope this information helps you plan, Laura. Please visit again with any other questions you can dream of as your trip draws near!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
