When Can I book dining reservations for August?

    Hey there, hi there Nadia!

I'm so happy to hEAR that you are heading to the World's Most Magical Celebration! I know you must be excited to start planning your magical vacation, and you are on the right track thinking ahead to when you can book your advanced dining reservations.

Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you'll be able to make reservations for your entire trip (or 10 days of it) beginning 60 days prior to your resort check in day. This would give you a slight advantage over other guests who have to make reservations 60 days before they want to dine at a specific restaurant. If you are arriving on August 22, that would mean you can start making reservations June 23. Generally, reservations open up at 6:00 AM EST each day, so you'll want to be up bright and early and ready to go.

Right now, while you are waiting, make a list of restaurants you think you want to dine at and a few back ups. There are so many popular restaurants, like Chef Mickey's or Space 220 Restaurant, that get booked almost immediately, you'll want to have some alternate selections in mind just in case you aren't able to book something.

If you have My Disney Experience app on your mobile device and have linked your reservation and tickets to it, you will be reminded when you're able to begin making reservations. If you don't have the app yet, it's a good idea to add it and start getting familiar with how to use it to help you in the parks.

Hope this helps. Have a magical day and happy planning!

I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
