I want to book a dining reservation at the Plaza Restaurant and the lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu. This has never been the case. Is this correct? None of the other sites say this. Is this a glitch? I don’t know who else to ask. Thank you.

    Hiya Raymond!

Welcome BACK! Thank you so much for continuing to bring your great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions to us yEAR after yEAR.

One thing that Walt Disney famously said of his beloved theme parks is that they would "never be done changing and growing as ideas and the imagination never stops growing and changing." And sometimes this sentiment applies to the Disney Dining Locations as well. I just checked and yes, it looks like currently The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park has switched to an all-day menu that covers both lunch and dinner. I don't have the proper magic mirror to definitively say if this is a permanent change or not, but keep checking back as sometimes changes and tweaks are limited-time tests that eventually revert back to their original product. (This brings back memories of the Citrus Swirl/Orange Swirl-gate of 2018.)

I absolutely understand how disappointing it is when a favorite menu items disappears from your second Home. The good news in your case is you discovered this switch early on. There's still time to cancel this reservation and book a replacement; you even have up to 24 hours before this dine time to cancel without penalty. Or you could play one of my favorite games that I invented called "where are we eating?" We basically leave one meal period unreserved, and then searching for same-day reservations in the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This really gets me out of my comfort zone of tried and true Magical dining locations, and often I end up finding a new favorite dish that I never would have tried had it not been one of a handful of last minute options.

Definitely keep up with the Disney Parks Blog between now and your arrival date. There are some really cool things coming to the Most Magical Place on Earth between now and your first upcoming Disney Day. I hope this helped a bit, Raymond, and We'll See You Real Soon!
