    Sharon from MD Asked

If I book a dining reservation that occurs after closing hours for a park, will there be any transportation available back to my resort? ie. skyliner, bus or monorail? Or would I need to find my own transportation back?

    Hi Sharon,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question!  This week when I saw the Disney Parks Blog article about Additional Dining Option at Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios I knew Guests would be overjoyed at the additional options available!

As you may have noticed, some of the Dining Reservations available extend beyond theme park operating hours.  Those lucky Guests who are able to make a dining reservation for a time at the end, or even past, theme park operating hours will be one of the few allowed to stay in the park when it closes!  I've experienced "after hours" dining a few times myself and can assure you that not only will you be able to maximize your play time in the theme park, you will also be able to end your evening in one the most Magical ways ever. There is just something special about leisurely strolling out of a nearly empty Disney Park!

Do not fear about transportation back to your Disney Resort hotel, as the multiple transportation systems will be running at least an hour past theme park closing.  The wonderful theme park Cast Members do an excellent job at monitoring the number of Guests still dining in the parks and will ensure transportation will still be available for you as you exit.  If you have any questions about where to go, do not hesitate to stop by and check with a Cast Member on your way to your transportation area.

We appreciate you stopping by to ask your vacation planning question.  As you may know, we are Disney Guests just like you and enjoy helping others plan their Magical vacations!  So please stop by again if you have any more questions, it's what we love to do!
