Magical greetings, Marilyn, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking your question about
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Candlelight Processional - Dining Package. I'm happy to help you.
The Candlelight Processional is such a beautifully presented depiction of The Christmas Story narrated by a celebrity and performed by a large choir backed by a live orchestra. It's quite popular, and I've seen Guests line up hours in advance to secure a seat.
This is why you are so smart to plan on booking the dining package. With it, you'll get a lovely meal in a restaurant of your choosing and guaranteed seating for one of the three nightly performances. As you can imagine, this is quite popular as well, and restaurants often sell out of these packages. You'll want to be on it right when reservations become available.
According to
this article on the Disney Parks Blog, this year's Candlelight Processional runs from November 27 to December 30, and dining packages go on sale October 14. You can also check the article I linked above to see who will be narrating during your trip.
While the Candlelight Processional is not to be missed, there are so many other offerings during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays that you might want to think about an entire day at EPCOT, maybe two. If you don't fill up during your meal for the Candlelight Processional, you can visit the
Holiday Kitchens to sample holiday delicacies from all over the world. You'll also find storytellers around World Showcase sharing holiday season lore from their cultures and countries. Of course, it wouldn't be an EPCOT festival without adorable merchandise, and I'm sure there will be no shortage of that available this year.
Marilyn, I hope you have a delightful visit to Walt Disney World this holiday season. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. If you have any other planning questions, we'd love to hear from you again soon.
Grab hold of your dreams!
Melanie
