If I book the 50th dessert party do I need to pay for my son who is an infant? Most reservations require us to include him but this one is not clear as the drop down only asks how many people 3-9 or 10+.

    Hi Jacklyn!

I'm so excited to see you're interested in the Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Party!  I attended this special party last month and had such a great time.  There was a wide array of dessert options to choose from and I helped myself to one of each to make sure I tried them all.  The gold 50th anniversary castle stamped on the chocolate strawberries is such a nice touch and perfect for a foodie photo.

Making Walt Disney World dining reservations requires guests to include children under 3 when booking and dessert parties are included in this rule.  A lovely Cast Member walked me through the process for online booking and advised to choose the child option for your son.  On the next page, it will have you pair guests from your Friends & Family list to the number of people who are attending the party.  Choose your infant son for the child ticket.  The system should recognize that he is under 3 and not charge for him.  If you run into any problems along the way, the Disney Dining team can help you book it over the phone by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

Since you will be bringing your infant son, I would love to recommend visiting the Baby Care Centers, located at all four Walt Disney World theme parks.  These centers are a great place to take your son for changes, nursing or just to relax in a quiet space.

Please stop back by planDisney if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
