Hello Paige and welcome back to planDisney!
I see that 15 years ago you asked planDisney a question about your very first visit to Walt Disney World! I am so excited to welcome you back!
Paige, if you are looking to get started with a room-only reservation, you can do that with a phone call to
Disney Reservations and Tickets up to 499 days before your check-in date! The friendly Cast Member that you speak with will help you book your room and get you all set up at one of Walt Disney Worlds deluxe resorts! Once vacation packages are released, you can then modify your reservation to add theme park tickets and any other options that you would like to add!
If you would like to wait for those vacation packages to be available, they usually become available in the late spring or early summer, and once they do become available, you can make a reservation on the
Walt Disney World website.
I have been fortunate as a
Disney Vacation Club owner to stay at all of the Walt Disney World deluxe resorts. You cannot go wrong with any choice that you are going to make! Our two home resorts are
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows!
Wilderness Lodge is so exquisite and grand and has such a magnificent lobby! We especially love Wilderness Lodge during the holidays, as a matter of fact our family picture hanging in our living room has us smiling in front of the massive Christmas tree in the lobby of the Lodge! My tip for best food is the Bison Cheeseburger at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill!
The Polynesian holds a special place in my heart. Our first family trip we spent at the Polynesian and survived a night with a hurricane! It forever cemented our love for Disney, and to this day the Polynesian Resort is still our favorite destination! My daughters and wife's tip for best food are the Pulled Pork Nachos at
Capt. Cook's!
Paige, I’m so excited that you are planning on another trip to the magic after all these years! Don’t hesitate to stop on back to planDisney if you have any more questions. And don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
