Hi Erin:

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. One of the many aspects of Walt Disney World that I love is how easy it is to make and change reservations. As your vacation draws near, some great special offers may be released for Walt Disney World Resort Vacations. If you book a Deluxe Resort and need to change hotels, this is absolutely fine, as long as it is no longer than 45 days before your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation (this is the date your vacation package must be paid in full). If you decide to change your reservation, the Disney agent will simply apply your deposit to the new reservation. One thing that you need to be aware of is that changes can be made provided there is availability at the other Walt Disney World Resort that you wish to switch. I can't imagine it being a problem, unless you plan on visiting during a busy season, however I would recommend having a few choices for your Resort if you are switching close to your arrival date. Also, if you have to cancel your Walt Disney World Resort stay, the deposit is refundable provided you cancel within the given timeframe, so not to worry, if a special offer doesn't suit your needs, you will be able to switch accommodations or even your dates to ensure your stay suits your budget. If you need to switch your accommodations, or apply a special offer to your existing reservation, please call a Disney Agent at (407) 939-1936.
