Hi there, Paula!
Welcome back to planDisney. I’m glad my fellow panelists were able to help with your earlier questions, and I’m excited to jump in now!
I’ve had a few occasions where I booked a
Vacation Package and a new promotion was released afterward. When that happened, I called the "
Vacation Packages" line right away to see if the offer could be applied. Once, it was easily applied; another time, it wasn't (it could have been due to a variety of reasons, including eligibility dates, limited availability, or my room type). So the short answer is…it depends!
In my experience, ticket deals are sometimes separate from Vacation Package offers. If you want the flexibility to take advantage of any ticket promotions that might be released, you could book a hotel-only reservation and purchase your tickets separately. Since I’m a
Magic Key passholder, I typically just book the hotel. Just keep in mind that the holiday season is incredibly popular at Disneyland, and ticket promotions seldom apply during that time (although there was a great deal last year!).
If it were me, I’d book the Vacation Package now and simply call Disneyland if a new deal appears. Worst case, you may be able to cancel and rebook (as long as it's before your final payment is due).
The holidays are truly my most favorite time of year at Disneyland! The parks are stunning with festive decor, the seasonal snacks are top-tier, and attractions like Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday are absolute must‑dos. Keep an eye on the
Disneyland website and official social media channels for updates as the season gets closer.
Paula, enjoy every moment of your trip to Disneyland! Don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions.
Magic Happens!
