Hi there, Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
To start planning, choose a resort that suits your preferences and budget. For convenience and immersive theming, I recommend these options: Deluxe Resort -
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (easy access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT via the monorail). Moderate Resort -
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (the Skyliner provides quick access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios). Value Resort -
Disney's Pop Century Resort (Skyliner access and great for your 7-year-old with its fun, themed areas).
For your park days, this is my suggested itinerary:
- October 21 (Day 1) - Magic Kingdom Park: Start your trip with the iconic Magic Kingdom. It's perfect for your son at age 7, with plenty of family-friendly rides. Use your Lightning Lane Multi-Pass for popular attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Consider dining at Be Our Guest for a magical meal inside Beast’s Castle.
- October 22 (Day 2) - EPCOT: Spend Day 2 exploring EPCOT, especially the World Showcase. Focus on using your Lightning Lane Pass for Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Your son might also enjoy the interactive play areas and exploring different countries.
- October 23 (Day 3) - Disney's Hollywood Studios: Wrap up your park days at Hollywood Studios, where the highlights for a 7-year-old include Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Lightning Lane Pass selections should include Slinky Dog Dash, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Enjoy a dining experience at Woody’s Lunch Box or the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.
Disney’s new
Lightning Lane Multi-Pass is key for avoiding long lines at popular rides across the three parks. Make sure you purchase this in advance for each park day to reserve access to multiple attractions. Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can purchase passes up to 7 days in advance of their stay and other Guests can purchase passes up to 3 days in advance of their park visit. By staying on property and using the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, you'll have a smooth and magical experience across all three parks!
Quick tip - Arrive early each day to make the most of your time and enjoy shorter wait times in the mornings.
I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
