If I book a 10 day package at Disney world can I stay at two different hotels? Spend 5 days at one hotel and then switch?

    Hey Michelle-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. A 10 day trip to Walt Disney World Resort is just paradise. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the theme parks, recreation, nightlife and resort activities during you stay. Yes, you may split your Magic Your Way Vacation Package between resorts because it is … Magic Your Way.

When discussing your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plan please tell you travel specialist that you are thinking of a resort split stay. They should ask you what type of resort level (value, moderate, deluxe) you are considering. Each level is a different expense and has special flare from smaller rooms, simple pools and longer distance to the theme parks to larger rooms, exotic animals, fancy waterslides and more transportation options. We have found magic everywhere and love the monorail resorts best for convenience.

A magical service to split stayers is that Walt Disney World Cast Members are happy to transfer your luggage to your second resort. You will take your items to the luggage department at Resort A and they will be glad to transfer them to Resort B. Just travel to the new resort and check-in. At that time you may make arrangements with them to have your items brought to your new room. The transfer time could be 30 minutes to several hours. If you are concerned, you may take a taxi with your luggage over to the second resort to check-in.

The only challenge with a split stay aside from packing is a Disney Dining Plan because the meal credits are tied to the specific resort. This can make dining without losing credits complicated. My co-panelist Erin has some great insight on this topic.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation at two pixie-dusted locations at Walt Disney World Resort.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
