Ahoy there Julie, and thanks for stopping by planDisney!
I sailed on over from my usual berth over at the Disney Cruise Line side of things because a little seagull flew by and told me you were interested in what we in these waters like to call
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea! I'd be more than happy to help you set a course for adventure!
Pairing a
Disney Cruise Line vacation with time at
Walt Disney World Resort is an incredible way to do nearly everything Disney has to offer, and one of my favorite ways to experience Disney MAGIC in all its fantastic forms! From amazing themed rooms at one of the many Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotels, to the excitement and WONDER of the Disney Theme Parks, to a relaxing, three-vacations-in-one luxury cruise experience aboard the Disney Cruise Line fleet, you're in for the vacation of your DREAMs!
Since it's your WISH to include a Disney Cruise Line vacation in your plans - my personal favorite - I suggest first sailing over to the Disney Cruise Line website and
exploring seven-night itineraries leaving from Port Canaveral. Once you find the ideal cruise, you can either m
ake your reservation to secure your stateroom preferences and get planning right away, OR you can write down the sailing date for that cruise and call a Disney Cruise Line crew member directly!
Whichever you choose, in order to add the "land" part of your vacation, along with your air and ground transportation, you'll need to call a crew member to make it an official Disney Vacation by Land and Sea - and in your case, it's more "by land, sea, AND air" - so if it were me, I'd plan on filling the sails and calling (800) 951-3532 to have a crew member take care of all the arrangements for you and your crew! That way, you'll have all the details "ship shape" for your entire vacation - talk about smooth sailing!
Once you're all set, be sure to download the My Disney Experience and Disney Cruise Line Navigator apps to keep a weather eye on the best vacation countdown on the seven seas, as well as have a handy way to explore your vacation details for your time at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as the exciting Port Adventures and onboard activities available for you on the cruise portion of your vacation! You're basically getting FOUR vacations in one!
Oh, and one final tip - I always suggest going to Disney World Resort first, and then embarking on the Disney Cruise Line portion. Maybe I'm biased, but I sure do like having a week on a ship to rest, recover, and enjoy what I like to call, "Disney, but make it RELAXING!" It's no FANTASY!
Julie, I'm so excited - and quite jealous - for you and your crew to be embarking on this adventure! If you run into any questions as you continue planning, you can always find us here at planDisney!
Wishing you fair winds, following seas, and an incredible time on every leg of your journey,
Andrew
