If I book the current free dining promo, but already have tickets, can I save the included tickets and use them later, or credit their cost to purchasing another type pf ticket or annual pass at a later date?

    Hiya, Muriel!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for stopping by. Oh boy! This is a great question. The Free Disney Dining Plan promotion is really a great offer.  Personally, I love Disney dining and dream about my favorite restaurants and dishes when I am at home, wishing upon a star for my next Disney vacation to arrive.  Enjoying a delicious, thematic sit-down meal at Space 220, a Quick Service lunch at Woody's Lunch Box when I am on the go, and of course, some of those delectable Disney snacks - like the Num Num Cookie - is pure magic. I am getting a rumbly in my tumbly as I write this!

Muriel, I double-checked with Guest Services about this promo and your question.  There are a few things to know.  The FREE Disney Dining Plan promo is an offer for Guests who purchase a nondiscounted 3-night, 3-day Walt Disney World vacation package that includes a room at select Disney Resort Hotels and a Three Day Theme Park Ticket with either the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option.  This is exclusively for arrivals on most nights (that meet the above criteria) from May 27 to June 26, 2025 or from July 7 to August 6, 2025.

Now, if you have already booked a qualifying Disney Vacation Package that includes the Resort and tickets, you may be able to actually add the Free Dining Plan if you meet all of the other requirements and depending on the tickets you have already purchased.  There are two ways to check.

First, you can visit the Free Disney Dining Plan promo page and to the right, there is a box that says, "Have an Existing Reservation?" It explains that you can visit your My Plans page, select "Change Reservation," and then search for other "Vacation Offers." If you are able to make this adjustment, you should be able to do this right here.

Alternatively, you can call or chat with Disney Guest Services and they can check your Vacation Package to see if the Free Dining Promo can be added to your existing reservation.  They can go over your booking in more detail to see what is possible. But, they noted that if you have at least a minimum 3-night length of stay and 3 Day Ticket including the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option, they may be able to add the free dining plan rather than you having to purchase a separate package.

My recommendation is to contact Guest Services directly to inquire about your specific package.  If they need to modify your reservation in any way by waving their magic wands, including upgrading your length of stay, tickets, or adding the dining plan, they are the Fairy Godparents to do it.  Much will depend on your existing booking as to what kind of magic they can create for you, but rest assured they will do their best to make your Disney Dining Plan dreams come true.

I hope this helps you, Muriel! If you have any further Disney planning questions, soar back here to see us and we will be most happy to help you.

    Happy Planning!
