Hello, I want to book a cruise but update the dining plan and add vacation insurance. How do I do this before I book?

Ahoy there, Bethany, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us. I’m delighted to see you’re planning a magical sailing on a Disney cruise soon. With so many ships, exciting destinations, and itineraries to choose from, the world is your oyster!

When you’ve narrowed down your decisions, you can conveniently book your sailing on the Disney Cruise Line website. After selecting your stateroom and adding it to the cart, you’ll have the option to add Vacation Protection Plan. You’ll see the price for this optional coverage for your sailing. Click “yes” to protect your cruise then “save”. You will then be able to see the total cost of your cruise. Once you’ve filled out information for each Guests, you’ll proceed to payment.

Once your reservation is confirmed, you’ll then be able to choose your dinner seating time, whether you wish to dine during the early or late seating. Prior to your sailing, be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App which acts as a handy dandy Mouseketool. You’ll get to see each day’s schedule of activities, view menus, book optional activities and so much more. My favorite part of the App is the ability to communicate with other travelers via the messaging feature.

As you continue to plan your upcoming cruise, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again if you have more questions for us.

Hope to SEA ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
