After we book a cruise and pay the inital fees, how much do we extra moneywill we need once onbaord? I am thinking of tips for all staff and extra charges for food. Please give me how much we need per day for a family of 4.

    Hi Andrew,

Your Disney Cruise Line experience can be virtually cash free once your board.  Just be sure to add a credit card to your account on-line before boarding.  Then you can charge all of your added expenses (alcoholic beverages, gift shop purchases, spa services, etc.) to your account by presenting your stateroom key.  You can even pre-pay your gratuities before you sail.  You will see this option when you fill out the pre-boarding documents on-line.  If you select this option, you will receive vouchers the last night of your voyage, which you then distribute personally to your servers and cabin attendant.  This is an incredibly convenient way to sail!  That's what my family did when we cruised on the Disney Dream in March.  It was much easier than carrying cash around the ship.  I would have cash on hand, however, when you leave the ship for port adventures.  That's the only time I felt the need to have cash with me.

Wishing you the most magical of voyages on Disney Cruise Line!  Let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you.
