Ahoy there, Nannan, and thanks for stopping by planDisney with this question that’s on so many of our minds!
Although Disney recently announced their
new itineraries through Spring 2027, none currently include
departures from New York City. Typically, Disney Cruise Line releases new itineraries about 13–18 months in advance, so it’s always worth keeping an eye on the Disney Cruise Line website, the Disney Parks Blog, and the official Disney Cruise Line social media pages for the latest news. And if you haven't already, go ahead and
sign up for email updates so you'll be among the first to be in the know.
In the meantime, you still have some great options that are fairly easy for New Yorkers.
Fort Lauderdale is one of my favorite home ports to sail out of; Port Everglades is just about a 15-minute drive from the airport, and I know there are lots of direct flights from the NYC area. Of course, Port Canaveral is another great choice, especially if you’d like to combine your cruise with a visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
While I wish I could wave my magic wand and make your wish come true, here’s hoping that Captain Mickey will be sailing out of the Big Apple again real soon. Until then, I’ll be dreaming right along with you of that iconic view of the New York skyline from the deck of a Disney Cruise ship. If you think of any other ways we can assist you until then, I hope you’ll head back to us here at
planDisney.
SEA ya real soon,
Sami
