Is there a way to book a cruise after hours, then call and get the placeholder added to the reservation, or does the placeholder have to be used at the time of booking?

    Hi there, Shawn!

I always find waving goodbye to Captain Mickey a little easier, knowing I have a placeholder reservation waiting for me. I’m thrilled that you are ready to book your next Disney Cruise!

Although you’ll need to contact a reservation specialist to apply your placeholder, I’ve successfully had mine applied to an existing reservation. Just keep in mind that the process involves canceling your current cruise and rebooking it. They’ll do their best to keep everything the same, but there’s a chance you could lose your preferred dining time or stateroom. Additionally, if the cruise price has increased, you’ll need to pay the new rate since it’s considered a rebooking.

I hope your Disney Cruise is on the horizon! With a variety of destinations to choose from and the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny joining the fleet soon, it’s a great time to sail with Disney. Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question. My friends and I are here to make your cruise planning as magical as the voyage itself! Please revisit us.
