Hi Aileen,
Welcome home, and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for bringing your question to us today. I love helping fellow
Disney Vacation Club Members make the most of their membership.
One of my favourite things about being a Disney Vacation Club Member is the flexibility it provides when visiting our favourite vacation destinations. As my young family grows, we love exploring different room types to suit our needs for a little more room!
Great news, Aileen: there are two ways to use your Vacation Points to book a
Club Level room. The first option is to look for availability in a Studio or Villa at the Kilimanjaro Club Concierge level at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House. These rooms can be directly booked using your Vacation Points.
The second option is to convert your eligible Vacation Points into Reservation Points, which can then be used to book a Club Level room at a Disney Resort within the
Disney Collection. One Vacation Point is equal to one Reservation Point. Keep in mind that once converted, Reservation Points cannot be reverted back to Vacation Points. They must also be used within the same Use Year they are converted, and there is a transaction fee of $95 at the time of writing this - which is waived for eligible members who have opted into
Membership Magic Beyond (Please note prices and offers are subject to change).
I recently had the opportunity to stay at
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the Gran Destino Tower. This moderate resort truly blew me away! It also offers
Club Level rooms, which can be booked using Reservation Points. If you’re considering trying something new, it’s a fantastic option to explore.
This process cannot be completed online, so you’ll need to
contact Member Services, where a Cast Member will be happy to help get everything booked for you.
I hope this helps answer your question, Aileen! If you have any other questions about your Membership or planning your next vacation, please
reach out to me, I would love to help.
Have a magical day!
Matt
