    If I book character restaurants using my credit card & then manage to upgrade my Dining plan at a later date, can I still use the reservations I have booked but pay via my Dining Plan please? Thanking you

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I must say that it's always an added pleasure for me to assist a fellow Guest from the United Kingdom with their jolly holiday plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort!
    One of the most magical experiences to enjoy during a Disney holiday is to meet and greet some beloved Disney characters and for me, meeting, creating photo opportunities and perhaps even collecting character autographs during a meal is my most favourite way.  Plus be sure to check out Memory Maker which provides a practically perfect way to capture all those magical Disney character encounters. 
    I'm happy to share that in my own experience it certainly was possible for me to secure those all important Advanced Dining Reservations with a credit card via My Disney Experience and then to decide how to best settle the bill when actually in the Disney restaurant; this worked even with a subsequent upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan.  
    Simply explain to the helpful Cast Member assisting you how you wish to pay; either with cash, credit card or with credits if using a Disney Dining Plan.
